Description
The morning is spent on the lagoon, and includes normally three stops. The first one is for snorkeling in a coral garden, where visitors can discover a wonderful natural ecosystem!
Our next stop is visiting the sting rays in shallow water. A unique experience! The approach is gentle and respectful, keeping in mind preservation of nature. In Bora Bora, sting rays are considered part of the family!
Finally, on the ocean side, we make our way for the observation of black tip reef sharks.
Black tip reef sharks are one meter long only and are harmless to humans. Believe us! YOU ARE NOT the food!!! It doesn't matter what color your bathing suit, or what breakfast you had in the morning ... They will not notice anything, and YOU will definitely enjoy this great experience!
We serve a 'Polynesian lunch' on a 'private island' (motu). Lunch is prepared by two cooks, in a traditional earth oven made with volcanic rocks, and covered by banana leaves.
The guests watch the opening of the oven, and listen to the explanations by the guide. The table is set in the lagoon, with an umbrella to protect guests from the sun. On the menu: suckling pig, chicken with local spinach, manioc, plantain bananas, bread fruit, raw fish salad with coconut milk, and finally a traditional dessert made with bananas and vanilla, as well as fresh tropical fruits.
Lunch comes served with a good bottle of Moët and Chandon champagne, or red/white wine depending on the guests’ preference.
